On Monday 29th October 2018, Kathy Doran and the team at AllenDay Recruitment received a visit from the Town Mayor of Houghton Regis, Cllr Ken Wattingham. Kathy (Director of Morestaff and AllenDay Recruitment) had been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual Pride of Houghton Awards earlier this month. Unfortunately, Kathy was unable to attend the award ceremony due to prior charity commitments and therefore two members of the Morestaff and AllenDay team picked up the award on Kathy’s behalf.
Kathy was delighted to have been recognised for this award and invited the Town Mayor to the AllenDay office in order to thank him personally. During the Mayoral visit, Kathy was formally presented with a trophy and certificate from the Town Mayor, Ken Wattingham. During the presentation, Ken also gave a short speech with the reasons Kathy had been nominated and selected for Award. After the formal presentation had taken place, Ken joined the team for tea and cake whilst being given a full insight into the recruitment industry and the services Morestaff and AllenDay offer the local area.
The annual Pride of Houghton Awards took place on Saturday 13th October 2018 at the Houghton Regis Memorial Hall. The awards are hosted by Houghton Regis Town Council and are a celebration of the achievements of local people and businesses within the community. On the night of the awards, Ken read the following statement before announcing Kathy as the winner of the Lifetime Achievement category;
“A dedicated and passionate leader, Kathy Doran is an expert in her field of recruitment and has been a successful business owner for almost 30 years. Over the years, the business has grown from strength to strength, now having over 30,000 people on their payroll and many actively working for the agency for many years.
